God's Plan of Salvation
God the Father
The 1st Person of the Trinity

We believe God is YHWH: omnipotent, omnipresent, omniscient and omnibenevolence.  He is eternal and necessary.  He is the Divine Creator and not subject to creation.  He is not a creature; He is the Alpha and the Omega, the First and the Last.  Being eternal, He has no beginning and no end.

  • Omnipotent: He is all-powerful and has all authority

  • Omnipresent: He is Spirit.  His presence is everywhere at the same time. He sees all and knows all. Nothing is hidden from Him.

  • Omniscient: He knows all things.

  • Omnibenevolence: Perfect Goodness

We believe these attributes of God are unique to Him and cannot be possessed by His creation (angel, demon, Satan or man).

God The Son
The 2nd Person of the Trinity
Then Jesus cried out, “When a man believes in me, he does not believe in me only, but in the one who sent me.  When he looks at me, he sees the one who sent me.”  John 12:44
  • We believe Jesus is God Incarnate, the Living Word of God, who came forth from God and is God.
He is the only begotten Son who was with God in the beginning, eternally co-existent with God the Father and the Holy Spirit, and the firstborn over all creation. Jesus created all things and nothing in heaven or on earth was created without Him.  He is above all creation and not subject to creation.

  • We believe Jesus was conceived of the Holy Spirit, became flesh being born of a virgin, died on a cross as propitiation for our sins and buried in a tomb.  He physically rose to life again (resurrected) on the 3rd day and He physically ascended to Heaven where He sits at the right hand of the Father.

  • We believe Jesus is the image of the invisible God, the exact representation of His Being, the radiance of His Glory, sustaining all things by the power of His word.  In Him dwells the fullness of the Godhead.

  • We believe Jesus brings glory to God the Father.

  • We believe Jesus is both fully God and fully man.

  • We believe Jesus is Holy, without sin, lived in perfect obedience to His Father and eternally lives to intercede for us.

  • We believe Jesus has been given all authority in heaven and on earth.

  • We believe Jesus is the Lion of Judah and the Lamb of God.

  • We believe Jesus is the same yesterday, today and forever.  He does not change like shifting shadows.

  • We believe Jesus died and rose again and so we believe that God will bring with Jesus those who have fallen asleep in Him.

  • Because Jesus is God, He is able to reveal God the Father to us clearly and accurately

  • Because Jesus is God, He lives forever.

  • Because Jesus is God, we can perfectly trust what He says.

  • Because Jesus is God, He has agape (unconditional) love and authority to save those who trust in Him from the penalty of death (eternal separation from God) which is God’s verdict for our sins.

  • Because Jesus is God, He was able to willingly give His life on the cross, to endure its shame for the glory that was set before Him.

  • Because Jesus is man, we have a great high priest who has gone through the heavens, Jesus the Son of God.  Let us hold firmly to the faith we profess.  For we do not have a high priest who is unable to sympathize with our weaknesses, but we have one who has been tempted in every way, yet was without sin.  Let us then approach the throne of grace with confidence, so that we may receive mercy and find grace to help us in our time of need.

God The Holy Spirit
The 3rd Person of the Trinity
  • We believe the Holy Spirit is the Spirit of God, the Spirit of truth, eternally co-existent with God the Father and the Son, who took part in creation and who indwells believers in Jesus Christ as our counselor, helper, comforter, and guide into all truth, and He is our seal of redemption.

  • We believe the Holy Spirit will convict the world of guilt in regard to sin and righteousness and judgment:  in regard to sin, because men do not believe in Jesus; in regard to righteousness, because Jesus went to the Father; and in regard to judgment, because the prince of this world now stands condemned.

  • We believe the Holy Spirit brings glory to Jesus.

  • We believe the Holy Spirit is the promise from God freely given to all believers and without the indwelling of the Holy Spirit, man is not “born again” from God.   “Therefore I make known to you that no one speaking by the Spirit of God calls Jesus accursed, and no one can say that ‘Jesus is Lord’ except by the Holy Spirit.”  1 Corinthians 12:3

  • We believe the gifts of the Holy Spirit are for today and are to be exercised in an orderly manner.  He distributes different gifts to each believer according to the will of God, but all gifts are from the one Holy Spirit.  The purpose of the gifts is for the profit of all believers and the glory of God.  The greatest gift is agape love.  Without love, the gifts are nothing.  “Love demonstrates a deeper walk with God than the exercise of spiritual gifts.”  Chuck Smith

  • We believe the fruit (evidence) of the Holy Spirit in believers is: (first of all) love, joy, peace, longsuffering, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control. Against such there is no law.
